Penlan Lodges is a peaceful rural escape in the heart of Mid Wales. With panoramic views, hot tubs and a real connection to nature. Set on a working sheep farm, the two beautifully finished lodges, Ewe View and Shepherd’s Hill, offer a luxurious yet authentic countryside experience.
Penlan needed help bring their online presence up to the standard of their lodges. Their existing website had become outdated and with a booking system just didn’t work. Penlan Lodges needed a complete website redesign and brand tune-up. Modernising the website, fixing a clunky booking process and building in a warm, rustic feel that reflects life on the farm.

PROBLEM
Despite the popularity of the lodges, the old website had become a bottleneck. The booking form was broken, forcing the owners to either manually add bookings themselves or rely on third-party holiday let platforms that took a hefty chunk of each transaction.
On top of that, the brand had limited reach. Besides the logo, there wasn’t consistent visual identity for their social channels, and the site itself lacked the personality and charm of the real Penlan experience.
SOLUTION
We rebuilt the website from the ground up using Squarespace, delivering it as part of our bespoke website service for businesses. Every part of the redesign reflected the quiet beauty of Penlan, with large visuals allowing the lodges to speak for themselves.
We integrated Bookalet, a powerful booking tool that doesn’t take a percentage of each sale. Instead, it runs on affordable annual hosting with no hidden fees. Once set up, all bookings flow automatically without the need for manual entry, a huge time saver.
Alongside the website, we refreshed the brand with a rustic, agricultural edge to better reflect Penlan’s roots. We created a series of custom illustrations which were used on the website and across Instagram highlights to keep the brand consistent and engaging.
