Shed Sessions
Shed Sessions is a homegrown YouTube series created by Sam Tolhurst and Kenneth Rees, taking viewers on a journey through the UK’s climbing scene.
The show mixes humour, adventure and a healthy dose of self-deprecation. It’s about making it accessible, fun, and just a little chaotic (in the best possible way).

PROBLEM
Sam and Ken had created the production on a shoestring budget, doing all the filming and editing themselves. But they needed a visual identity that could tie everything together, give it all a bit of polish, and make the series feel like more than just a YouTube channel.
They didn’t have a big budget, so every design choice had to carry its weight. This started with the logo and motion graphics, with an emphasis on YouTube strategy.
SOLUTION
We started by building a brand that felt energetic like the series. Inspired by the colourful climbing holds seen in gyms across the UK, we developed a playful brand toolkit that felt familiar to anyone in the climbing scene.
The new Shed Sessions logo was rough-and-ready charm. Rugged enough to reflect the sport and fun enough to live on merch. Our Creative Lead Ken had a personal connection to this one as a climber himself. We created a complete YouTube content strategy, designing custom thumbnail templates and building a consistent look across the channel.
