Nearly a decade since its inception, PixelHaze has undergone a significant transformation from its humble beginnings in 2014. What started as Elwyn’s solo venture has expanded into a lively team of innovative creators, united by a common objective: ‘Demystify Technology’. Our mission is to make premium design services accessible to everyone without straining their budgets.
In 2014, the tech industry seemed intricate and remote to the average user. PixelHaze identified this disconnect and aimed to close it by offering user-friendly web design devoid of unnecessary ‘Tech Jargon’.
Despite our original logo fulfilling’s role, we realised a contradiction between our mission statement and our brand. Hence, we embarked on a journey to de-pixelate our logo, making it less ‘hazy’.
After undergoing several redesigns over time, by 2023, we felt ready to move forward, reflecting on our evolution and starting to plan for the future.
While simplifying our logo, we may have lost some pixels but we definitely gained clarity.
In 2019, we mischievously incorporated a hidden element into our logo - the ‘?’ inside the ‘P’. This subtle addition represents our relentless curiosity and problem-solving prowess, reflecting our commitment to demystifying technical jargon. We envisaged PixelHaze evolving alongside us and our clients rather than undergoing a drastic transformation that could potentially estrange us from our community.
We aimed to preserve our unique personality throughout the redesign process rather than opting for an abrupt corporate makeover that could distance our audience. We pride ourselves on being the champions of ‘the little guy’, a stance we will maintain, albeit with a fresh aesthetic appeal!
We have since rolled out our new design to the other realms of PixelHaze, namely PixelHaze Academy & PixelHaze Store.
PixelHaze has remained committed to innovation and delivering unparalleled services to our clients throughout its evolution. Our novel approach of combining practical web design workshops with award-winning software, including platforms like Squarespace, enables us to offer bespoke solutions that precisely meet our client’s requirements, giving them a competitive edge in the digital realm.
Our hands-on workshop methodology for web design has taken off since PixelHaze’s inception. As we’ve streamlined our processes, we’ve expedited website turnarounds without compromising quality.
We felt it was only appropriate to refine our image accordingly.
Like all our projects, our rebrand was created in a workshop—an approach which has worked swimmingly for clients since 2014. We find pressure makes diamonds, and a one-day deadline to evolve, refine and publish the brand allowed us to focus our minds.

What is our workshop approach?
Our tried and tested hands on workshop approach to web design offers agency level design in a quick turnaround without breaking the bank.

Our workshops begin by selecting one of our many PixelHaze Squarespace templates available on our PixelHaze Store.
From here we strip out the content and inject your brand, imagery and text into the site, making it personalised to you and your business.
Our workshops begin with an initial 2 hour induction, deciding exactly what you need from your website. We will then price accordingly. You view the price list below.
We begin with the fundamentals, going back to the drawing board, sketching out a chalk wireframe of the site. Running through the Who, What, When, Where, Why and How of YOUR business.

Our £500 web design workshops can take up to 1 Day of our time to create.
Depending on your requirements for the website, this can have an effect on the timeframe for the site.
To speed up the web design process, we recommend having content ready while we’re building the site, this can significantly speedup the website turn round.

Once we’ve finished building your website, you will have full control of your website!
You can customise your site to your heart’s content in the design settings inside Squarespace. We will give you the training you need to maintain your website.
