Make a statement with the Squarespace Announcement bar

The Squarespace announcement bar feature sits above the header region of your website and provides a perfect opportunity to highlight a key message or event on a temporary basis. 

It is easy to update and provides quick functionality allowing you to link through to a featured product sale, provide a critical message to website visits (e.g. maintenance messages) or even provide a removable notice for your cookie policies.

How to enable the announcement bar on your website: 

Step 1 - Go to the Announcement Bar panel

In the Home Menu, click Design, and then click Announcement Bar.

Step 2 - Enable the Announcement Bar

Select Enable Announcement Bar from the drop-down menu.

Enter the text for the Announcement Bar in the box. You can make the text bold or italicised and create text links.

You can also add a clickthrough URL to make your Announcement Bar a clickable link.

Finally you can press "save" to enable the Announcement Bar.
